SYDNEY, Australia, 18 November 2020 – Consumer Health Products (CHP) Australia held its annual general meeting (AGM) this week, which saw Vitex Pharmaceuticals’ Chief Executive Officer, Dr Aniss Chami, appointed as a member of its Board of Directors.
Consumer Health Products Australia (CHP Australia) is the peak body representing the distributors and manufacturers of consumer healthcare products. Its members make up the majority of the $8 billion + non prescription medicines market, employs over 10,000 Australians and exports $1.2bn annually. CHP Australia and its members strive to advance consumer health through responsible Self-Care.
Dr Aniss Chami was appointed for a one-year term alongside newly appointed Board Directors at the AGM:
· Phil Lynch, Independent Director
· David Rankine, Regional Director ANZ, Health, RB
The recently appointed Directors will join New Board Directors confirmed at the AGM:
· Alison Holland, Head of Consumer – OTC, Aspen Pharmacare Australia
· Charmaine England, Managing Director, Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health Pacific
· Anish Patel, Area General Manager, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Australia

The recently elected and appointed Directors will join the existing Board Directors:
